America's 911 Ride

Michael and I on the trike[/caption] Michael and I are so excited to be participating in the 15th Annual – and FINAL – America’s 911 Ride August this year August 19-21 2016 and we are asking for YOUR HELP in supporting this worthy cause. America’s 911 Ride is the largest police escorted motorcycle ride from: Shanksville, PA to the Pentagon and then to the World Trade Center. Honoring First Responders (EMS, FIRE, Police) for the last 15 years. Remembering ALL those who lost their lives on 9/11. The America’s 9/11 Ride is about Remembering the Heroes, Volunteers and Victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and since. (The Annual Memorial Ride takes place in August respecting each site and the survivors, allowing them to mourn during September) We will join with a large group in Gettysburg, PA and ride into Shanksville on 8/18 and the next morning, which officially starts the ride, the entire group will ride to the Flight 93 Memorial in honor of the victims. Then, after the Flight 93 Memorial, we will travel – fully escorted by active duty motorcycle police – to Arlington where we will stay the night. Then we will drive by the Pentagon on Saturday, 8/20  honoring the victims with prayer, then head to New York.  We will stay the night in NY City and the next morning we will ride to the World Trade Center. This is especially poignant for Michael and I. He is a retired firefighter/paramedic who lost 343 of his brothers and sisters on 9/11 and my family lost a cousin on Flight 11. When we participated in the ride two years ago, it was the most moving experience of my life. The way that people responded to us driving en mass through their towns was incredible and still gives me chills when I think of it. I will be posting to our blogs and Facebook along the way so you can share in our trip.
